Who is RMCC?
RMCC stands for RMCC stands for Ronald McDonald Children's Charities Fund of Malaysia. It was established in 15 February 1990. Its main goal is to help children in need by lending them a helping hand.

RMCC is an independent registered charity. It receives support from McDonald’s Malaysia, but it has also forged links with various corporations and individuals to enable it to achieve its main goal.

Where did it all begin?
In 1974, the first Ronald McDonald House was established in Philadelphia, USA to accommodate parents and enable them to be close to their child in hospital. This concept quickly grew across the McDonald’s global system and to date, there are more than 270 local chapters all over the world.

How is McDonald’s involved?
McDonald’s founded the charity in line with the company’s belief of giving back to the communities in which it does business. Its staffs are involved in many local events in support of RMCC. RMCC Coin Boxes are also placed in every McDonald’s restaurants to collect funds for the society.

What kind of projects does RMCC support?
RMCC organizes its own programs to help support children in the areas of health, education and welfare. Donations have included various equipments to special schools and hospitals, cash for medical cases, education scholarships and many other projects held for the needy children of Malaysia.

How are the RMCC funds utilized?
Every sen you donate to RMCC will help make a difference in the lives of many less fortunate children in Malaysia. All funds raised will go to causes where they can be most effectively used. In general, the funds are channelled into three areas: health, education and welfare.

Where is the RMCC office located?
The RMCC office is located at Level 6, Bangunan TH, Damansara Uptown 3, 3, Jalan SS21/39, 47400, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

Why the establishment of the Ronald McDonald House?
Medical experts believe that children recover more quickly with their families nearby. Many of these families live some distance away from the hospital and staying in local accommodations during their children’s treatment can be very costly. The Ronald McDonald House allows them to be close to their children and at the same time, saves them money and time.

How do I become eligible for a place at the Ronald McDonald House-Hospital Universiti Kuala Lumpur (RMH-HUKM)?
The following criteria has to be met:

   1)Children must be undergoing treatment at the said hospital, and not warded.
   2)Children and their families must be from outside the city of Kuala Lumpur.

The Welfare Department of HUKM are aware of the benefits of the RMH-HUKM and they will help to identify families whom they feel will most benefit from the facilities available and refer them accordingly.

How can I donate to RMCC?
Any support is greatly appreciated and there are three ways you can directly make a contribution to RMCC:

   1.You can register to be a volunteer.
   2.You can give a donation to RMCC via the coin boxes at the front counter at the       nearest McDonald's restaurant.
   3.You can complete this form and send it to us, followed with your pledge of donation.
